Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boba Smrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smrad lands the left hand.
Smrad tries for a takedown but Mason sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Smrad gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mason counters with a big head kick but Smrad shrugs it off.
Mason stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mason wants it to stay on the feet.
Wayne Mason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boba Smrad.
Sloppy strikes from Mason. Those never looked like landing.
Smrad shoots and misses

and Mason counters by moving into the clinch.

Mason breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mason misses with the combination.
Mason stuffs the takedown.

Mason closes the distance and clinches.

Mason manages to break the clinch.
Mason tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mason thows a body kick. Smrad tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Smrad shoots in for a takedown but Mason shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mason throws a sloppy head kick and Smrad moves out of range easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mason pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mason throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Mason drives through and clinches with Smrad against the cage.
Smrad has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mason is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Smrad wants a takedown but no success here.

Smrad tries for a takedown. No joy.

Mason pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Smrad!
Smrad shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mason as he avoids it easily.
Mason misses the shot to the body.
Smrad shoots and misses
and Mason counters with a good, hard body kick but Smrad shrugs it off.
Smrad looks winded!
Mason throws a nice head kick!
Mason lands a head kick!
A head kick from Mason lands but Smrad takes it in his stride.
Mason lands with a kick to the temple. Smrad shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Mason stuffs the takedown attempt from Smrad. Smrad gets slowly back to his feet.
Smrad fails with the takedown

and Mason counters by moving into the clinch.

Mason pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mason leaves Smrad with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mason misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mason instigates a clinch.

Mason manages to break the clinch.
Mason throws a head kick that misses.
Smrad shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mason pinned against the cage. Mason gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Smrad changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mason looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mason regains half guard.
Mason tries to get to full guard but Smrad has control of the leg.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Mason is trying to control but can't.

Smrad seems to be looking for submissions.

Smrad is trying for a kimura here. Mason looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Smrad wins by kimura!
