Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Howlett!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Foul Play!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Play throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Play misses with a kick to the body
and Howlett counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Play tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Play ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Howlett moves away.
Howlett takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Play takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Play misses with a low kick.
Play gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Howlett counters with a nice kick to the body.
Howlett just misses with a punch to the body.
Howlett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Play moves away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Play fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Howlett manages to avoid it.
Play misses with a wild body shot.
Howlett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Foul Play seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howlett lands a leg kick that knocks Play off balance momentarily.
Howlett bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Play has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Howlett misses with a wild body shot.
Play misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Howlett.
Howlett looks to score with a jab to the body but Play is just out of range.
Play lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Play waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Howlett.
Howlett has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Mary Gracies Jiu Jitsu in the buildup to the fight.
Play is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Howlett rather than just go for the knockout.

Play throws the kick towards the body but Howlett avoids it.
Play keeps the fight on the outside.
Foul Play is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Howlett counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Play's guard now.

Howlett throws an elbow that misses. Play uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Howlett's guard. Nice move by Play!
