The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Howlett misses with a looping left.
No joy there for Singh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Howlett throws a jab when Singh was well out of range.
Singh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Howlett.
Howlett lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.


It looks like Sanjay Singh has been cut.

Howlett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Howlett bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Howlett has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Singh.
Singh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Howlett.
Singh avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Howlett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Singh looking to sit in guard and control but Howlett gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Howlett would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Howlett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Singh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Howlett has managed to get both his arms back between Singh's legs - danger averted.

It looks like Howlett is going to stand back up.

Singh is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Howlett has latched onto it... Big trouble! Howlett pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Singh is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Howlett!
