Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jazon James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Waste (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jazon James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Waste!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James tries to keep at a distance but Waste has taken the fight into the clinch.
James looking to slow down the pace here.
James tries to score a body lock takedown but Waste shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Waste gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Waste seems content to control.
James is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
James tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Waste gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Waste scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Waste shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Waste was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Waste tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Waste misses with the ground and pound.
James stops Waste from passing to mount.
The referee asks Waste politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Waste prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ground and pound from Waste seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Waste is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt James will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Waste throwing strikes here but James is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tony Waste just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Waste throws a right hand that James ducks under and follows up with a left that James also avoids with ease.

Waste shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Waste showed some decent athleticism there.
Waste not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Waste is working for a submission of some sort.
Waste slows the pace down in half guard.

Tony Waste showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

James escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Waste gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

James can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Waste controls the pace.

James escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Waste gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Waste stands and steps away. James gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Waste shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Waste perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
James moves into full guard.
Waste stops James from standing up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tony Waste comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Waste has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
