Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Wilkerson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Stone!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wilkerson.
Stone fails with a takedown attempt.
Stone doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wilkerson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Stone closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Stone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wilkerson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Stone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wilkerson shoots for a double leg takedown but Stone sprawls well. He's pushed Wilkerson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Josh Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stone enables Wilkerson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stone manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Stone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wilkerson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well Stone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
