Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wes Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Cusano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cusano.
Alvarez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cusano manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Alvarez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Alvarez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Alvarez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cusano dives on top into guard.
Alvarez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alvarez working for a triangle but Cusano defends it easily.
Cusano thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Cusano wants to control from the top but Alvarez keeps moving.
Alvarez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cusano is aware though and is defending well.
Cusano trying to control the position from guard on top but Alvarez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alvarez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cusano gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alvarez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cusano has picked Alvarez up and slammed him! Alvarez can't keep hold of the triangle and Cusano manages to pass to side control!
Cusano working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Cusano wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alvarez, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Alvarez is looking for a sweep.

Cusano tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cusano has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cusano is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Alvarez is trying to escape and Cusano transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Alvarez is forced to tap! Nice work there by Cusano! Very nice indeed!
