PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clay Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Shota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shota is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Must be the Feeling. Adrian Shota told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clay Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adrian Shota!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Shota pivots, looking for a leg kick but Moore is out of range and Shota settles back down.
Moore throws a lazy uppercut
and Shota counters with a straight right hand.
Shota changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moore tries to avoid it but Shota manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moore to the ground. Moore escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Shota uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Moore.
Shota shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Moore sprawls well. Moore wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shota gets slowly back to his feet.
Moore throws a body punch but Shota moves out of range.
Shota shoots in but Moore avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Shota has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Moore uses from the top position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moore loads up on a big right hand but Shota slips the punch.
