Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Woody Longue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Missa Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Missa Okami has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Woody Longue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Missa Okami!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Okami closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Longue to the mat! Longue manages to get full guard.
Longue looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Okami looking to pass the guard.
Okami works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Longue is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at TAP ROOT -/- 10 Coaches / Great Sparring / Value, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Okami thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Okami is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Okami is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Longue defends it well.

Longue is defending against the submission attempts here by Okami.

Okami stalling away here and it's allowed Longue to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Okami pushes down on Longue's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Longue is refusing to be controlled, as Okami sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Okami is looking to stall here but Longue recovers full guard.
Longue looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Okami stands and throws Longue's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Okami is looking to take a break and control but Longue is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Okami tries to stand but Longue controls the position and pulls Okami into his guard.

Okami is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Longue knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Okami has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Longue!
Okami can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Longue is looking to escape.

Okami is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Longue has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Okami lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Longue hang on?

Longue wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Okami.
Okami looking to control but Longue is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Okami gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
A right-left combo lands from Okami.
Missa Okami seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Okami throws a nice looking combination but Longue bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Okami moves in looking to clinch but Longue pushes him off.
Okami tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Longue defends well and Okami ends up having to push Longue into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Missa Okami dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Okami changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Longue tries to avoid it but Okami manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Longue to the ground. Longue escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck for Longue with that takedown attempt.
Okami throws a chopping leg kick but Longue manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Okami throws a series of punches but Longue moves out of range.
Okami misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Okami tries to clinch but Longue is having none of it.
Longue circles away from the clinch attempt.
Okami misses with a series of wild punches.
Okami lands a jab to Longue's midsection.
Okami misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Okami swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Longue.

Woody Longue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Missa Okami.

Longue has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Okami is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Longue yanks on the arm and Okami is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Longue.
