Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Barry Balls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wolfgang Schlosser!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schlosser misses with a few strikes there.
Balls rushes Schlosser and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Balls breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Balls lands a jab to the head.
Balls shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Schlosser throws the left hand but Balls avoids the punch easily.
Schlosser lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Balls backs up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fight stays on the outside here - Balls looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Schlosser throws a right and a left that both miss.
Balls showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Schlosser.
Schlosser tries to bum rush Balls with a series of wild strikes but Balls uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Balls cracks Schlosser with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Balls closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Balls clinches.
Balls pressing his opponent against the cage.
Schlosser is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Schlosser tries to break free but Balls pushes him back against the cage.
Balls lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Balls keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Schlosser's efforts to push away.
Schlosser wants to break the clinch but can't.
Balls works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Balls is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Schlosser is defending well.
Schlosser is trying to force a seperation but Balls has the dominant position.
Schlosser wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Balls holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Balls lands a nice shot to the body.
Schlosser looks winded!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Balls changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Schlosser fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Balls moves into range and clinches up with Schlosser.
Balls is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barry Balls. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Schlosser working hard to break the clinch.
Balls stalls.
Balls pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Balls changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Schlosser looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Balls tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Balls has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Balls prevents Schlosser from escaping the position.
Schlosser really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Balls. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A lull in the action here.
Balls has hold of Schlosser's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Schlosser seems comfortable defending it but Balls has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Schlosser is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Schlosser is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Balls couldn't care less - he's delighted!
