PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Greer Leonardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Havas Mitautas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Havas Mitautas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonardson misses the shot to the body.
Leonardson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Mitautas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Leonardson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mitautas. That one must have hurt.
Nice jab there from Leonardson.
Mitautas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Leonardson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Greer Leonardson.

Mitautas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Greer Leonardson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitautas lands a leg kick that knocks Leonardson off balance momentarily.

Leonardson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Leonardson tries to land a front kick but Mitautas steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Havas Mitautas will probably get the nod.
That's time! Leonardson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Leonardson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Leonardson has an Americana. Mitautas didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Leonardson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Leonardson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

After winning the bout, Greer Leonardson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
