Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Wigley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David McLain!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McLain drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McLain with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Wigley trying to control the position here.
McLain chips away with some ground and pound.
McLain with a flurry of punches that miss.

Wigley has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McLain is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wigley.
McLain misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Wigley pushes McLain away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, McLain gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wigley wants to control but McLain postures up.
McLain working the body and head with strikes.
Wigley is breathing heavily.

Wigley avoids any damage from the ground and pound of McLain.

McLain looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wigley dodges the ground and pound from McLain.

McLain tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

McLain wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wigley, who protects the arm well.
McLain tries to advance position but instead Wigley slips a leg back in to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McLain thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Wigley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
McLain landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

McLain looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McLain throwing shots but Wigley is blocking nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wigley tries to roll over but McLain keeps him under control.
Wigley on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Wigley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Wigley wants to stand but McLain is controlling the position.
McLain content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Wigley wants to stand up but McLain is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McLain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wigley is keeping the position for now.
McLain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
McLain is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Wigley seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
McLain looking to pass the guard.
McLain cracks Wigley with a solid left hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McLain postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
McLain keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wigley's head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Wigley has momentary wrist control but McLain slips an elbow through the middle.

David McLain dominated that round.

No luck for Wigley with that takedown attempt.
McLain doesn't manage to clinch there - Wigley circles away.

McLain drives through with a takedown into guard.
McLain throws a big elbow that misses.
Wigley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

David McLain has got the better of the ground game so far.

Wigley is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McLain lands a huge shot from side control! Wigley is out cold! This one is all over!
