Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glover Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filip Nocon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Teixeira might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to rocky theme song. Glover Teixeira could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Filip Nocon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Glover Teixeira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Filip Nocon!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nocon scores with a shot to the body.
A cross from Nocon lands.
Teixeira throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nocon pushes Teixeira up against the cage in a clinch.
Teixeira wants to get back to striking at distance but Nocon won't allow it.
Nocon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Teixeira gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Nocon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nocon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Teixeira's waist but Teixeira gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nocon off to one side.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nocon moves out of range as Teixeira strikes.
Teixeira throws a looping overhand right but Nocon ducks down to avoid it.
Nocon looks to throw the jab but Teixeira is out of range.
Nocon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Teixeira.
A lazy left from Teixeira finds it's target.
It looks like Filip Nocon has been cut.
Nocon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Teixeira but Teixeira pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Glover Teixeira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Filip Nocon.
Nocon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Teixeira circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nocon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nocon looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Nocon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Teixeira as he avoids it easily.
Teixeira throws an overhand right that lands on Nocon's shoulder, as Nocon tries to avoid the shot.
Teixeira lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Teixeira takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nocon lands a lovely overhand right.
Teixeira with a hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Teixeira checks a leg kick.
Nocon shoots in for a takedown but Teixeira shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Teixeira throws the left hand but Nocon avoids the punch easily.
Nocon tries to clinch up but Teixeira circles away and keeps his distance.
Teixeira misses with the combination.
Teixeira scores with a hook.
Nocon walks straight into a right hand from Teixeira - that's dropped him! Teixeira jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nocon from any more punishment! Nocon complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Glover Teixeira!
After winning the bout, Glover Teixeira thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
