PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Keoni Kain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Tyrannosaurus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyrannosaurus has chosen MacArthurPark as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Tyrannosaurus - just one landing.

It looks like Keoni Kain has been cut.
Kain tries to clinch but Tyrannosaurus is having none of it.
Kain swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tyrannosaurus.

It looks like Rex Tyrannosaurus has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Keoni Kain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A bone on bone clash there as Kain blocks the leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tyrannosaurus, as that shot connected.
Kain swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kain throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kain throws a hook but Tyrannosaurus blocks it.
Kain keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Tyrannosaurus ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Kain catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Tyrannosaurus stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Tyrannosaurus walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!
Kain blocks a jab.
Tyrannosaurus looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kain thows a body shot but no joy.
Kain moves out of range of the body kick from Tyrannosaurus.

Kain checks a leg kick.
Tyrannosaurus fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kain looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kain jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tyrannosaurus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kain.

Tyrannosaurus takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kain throws a big shot that misses.
Kain throws a half hearted mid kick.
Tyrannosaurus lands a jab.
Kain keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kain throws a front kick aimed at Tyrannosaurus's knee but Tyrannosaurus avoids it well.
Tyrannosaurus misses with a low kick.

Tyrannosaurus has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tyrannosaurus there as he acknowledges the shot.
Tyrannosaurus cracks Kain with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tyrannosaurus has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tyrannosaurus and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kain throws a series of punches but Tyrannosaurus moves out of range.
Kain scores with a spinning back kick!

Kain fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tyrannosaurus, pushing him back against the ropes.
Tyrannosaurus has Kain pressed against the ropes, preventing Kain from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kain has had enough of the clinch but Tyrannosaurus keeps him there for the moment.
Kain is looking to control Tyrannosaurus's arms but Tyrannosaurus gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kain has his back to the ropes.
Tyrannosaurus swings wildly with an uppercut but Kain uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kain trying to stall but Tyrannosaurus improves his position.

Kain manages to break the clinch.
Tyrannosaurus's corner calls for a 1-2. Tyrannosaurus obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Tyrannosaurus moves in looking to clinch but Kain pushes him off.
Kain tries to clinch up but Tyrannosaurus circles away and keeps his distance.
Kain takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Tyrannosaurus keeps the fight on the outside.
Kain doesn't manage to clinch there - Tyrannosaurus circles away.
Kain wants to clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tyrannosaurus ducks under a wild hook from Kain.
Tyrannosaurus throws a hook to the side of Kain's head but Kain sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kain wants to clinch but Tyrannosaurus slips to the side
and Tyrannosaurus counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keoni Kain should take that round, based on the knockdown.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A slapping leg kick lands for Tyrannosaurus.
Tyrannosaurus jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kain is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kain misses with a head kick.
Kain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Tyrannosaurus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tyrannosaurus lands with a good body shot.
A low kick from Tyrannosaurus misses
and Kain counters with a low kick, right behind Tyrannosaurus 's knee.
Kain catches Tyrannosaurus with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kain throws an overhand right that lands on Tyrannosaurus's shoulder, as Tyrannosaurus tries to avoid the shot.
Tyrannosaurus looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Kain rushes Tyrannosaurus and presses him up against the ropes.
Kain tries to stall but Tyrannosaurus uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Tyrannosaurus doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kain tries to break the clinch but Tyrannosaurus is controlling the position.
Tyrannosaurus blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Tyrannosaurus creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kain's defenses.
Tyrannosaurus lands an elbow inside that Kain shrugs off.

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Kain just misses with a elbow thrown towards Tyrannosaurus's brow.
Tyrannosaurus misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kain.
Tyrannosaurus tries a body shot but Kain blocks it.
Kain misses with a hook from the clinch.

Kain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kain drops his guard momentarily, allowing Tyrannosaurus to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Kain! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Tyrannosaurus takes it!
