The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rondo counters with a big head kick but Grant shrugs it off.

Grant bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Grant is trying to get an arm triangle but Rondo is defending well.
Grant in side control, throwing shots but Rondo defends.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grant tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Grant has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Grant throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Grant has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Rondo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grant on the ground.

Grant has hold of Rondo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Rondo seems comfortable defending it but Grant has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Rondo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Rondo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Grant couldn't care less - he's delighted!
