Calzaghe comes into the arena with The Pride of Wales blaring out of the sound system. Maurice McDonald has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald throws a head kick that misses.
Calzaghe misses with a hook. McDonald ducked under it nicely.
Calzaghe misses the shot to the body.
McDonald takes a swing at Calzaghe's ribcage but misses.
Calzaghe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McDonald stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

McDonald lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McDonald lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Calzaghe has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Calzaghe and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Maurice McDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Calzaghe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McDonald takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

McDonald paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

McDonald uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Calzaghe.

McDonald connects with a leg kick. Calzaghe looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

McDonald lands a left and a right that send Calzaghe crashing to the mat, dazed. McDonald thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

McDonald lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Calzaghe crumples to the floor! McDonald milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
