The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentin slaps away a takedown attempt from Guerreiro, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Guerreiro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Guerreiro drops back looking for a leg! Valentin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Valentin manages to kick Guerreiro off! Guerreiro jumps back into Valentin's guard.

and Valentin counters with an outside leg kick.

Guerreiro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Valentin avoids it really well and circles away.
Horrible takedown by Guerreiro or perhaps it was just good defense by Valentin which made him look bad.

Guerreiro darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Guerreiro is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Guerreiro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Valentin is just riding it out for now. Guerreiro eventually gives up the hold.

Guerreiro wants to stand up but Valentin is controlling the position.
Guerreiro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Guerreiro seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Valentin is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
