The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trager tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slade swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Slade stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Trager.
Alex Trager seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trager fails to land the takedown.
Slade avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Trager closes the distance and clinches up with Slade, looking for a takedown. Trager pushes Slade against the cage but Slade circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Trager fails with a takedown attempt.
Johnny Slade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Trager.
Trager misses with a takedown
and Slade counters with a nice double leg into side control. Trager won't be happy with that.
Slade has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Trager is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Slade yanks on the arm and Trager is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Slade.

A very excited looking Johnny Slade rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
