Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karlsson gets the takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Casados wants to get back to his feet but Karlsson drags him back down.
Casados manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Casados is refusing to be controlled, as Karlsson sits in half guard.

Karlsson seems to be working for a kimura but Casados defends the submission attempt.

Karlsson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Casados defends it well.
Karlsson slips a nice elbow through Casados's hands, connecting with Casados's forehead.
Casados gets full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Karlsson cracks Casados with a solid left hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Karlsson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Karlsson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Karlsson lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Casados looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Karlsson has picked Casados up and slammed him! Casados can't keep hold of the triangle and Karlsson manages to pass to side control!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Karlsson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Casados takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Karlsson is looking to take a break and control but Casados is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Casados is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Steel Penn/Heavy Hands Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Karlsson grinds an elbow into Casados's temple.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on Casados's face as Karlsson controls the position.
Casados tries to improve position but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Karlsson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Karlsson dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Casados shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Casados works over Karlsson's head and body with a nice combination.
Casados fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Karlsson tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Casados manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Karlsson in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Casados looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Karlsson turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
