The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandao blocks a head kick by Roaig.

Brandao takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Brandao lands a body shot.
Brandao looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Roaig throws a lazy right hand but Brandao sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Brandao is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Roaig tries to clinch but Brandao moves out of range.

Brandao jabs Roaig to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Roaig swings for the body but Brandao moves out of range.
Brandao buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Roaig.
Roaig punishes Brandao's body with a nice straight punch.
Roaig misses with a few strikes there.
Roaig throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've been told by Brandao's head coaches at Hell's Balls NY Hellcademy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Brandao lands a nice leg kick that just misses Roaig's sensitive parts.
Brandao slips under a jab.
Brandao tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Brandao looks to land a right hand but Roaig moved out of range.
A thudding body kick lands there by Brandao!
Roaig keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Brandao lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Brandao misses with an attempted mid kick.
Brandao feints and then cracks Roaig's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Roaig down.
Brandao lands a head kick. Roaig smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Roaig is rocked!
Roaig looks to land a combination but Brandao avoids it well.
Roaig is still on wobbly legs! Can Brandao finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brandao closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Roaig out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jose Brandao!
A relieved looking Jose Brandao thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
