The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valkoinen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jefferson.
Jefferson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Valkoinen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jefferson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Valkoinen throws a one two combo.

It looks like Thomas Jefferson has been cut.
Valkoinen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Valkoinen with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mursu Valkoinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Valkoinen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Valkoinen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Jefferson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jefferson prevents Valkoinen from improving his position.
Valkoinen is trying to stand back up but Jefferson is controlling him
Jefferson drops an elbow to the side of Valkoinen's head.

Valkoinen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Valkoinen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jefferson pushes down on Valkoinen's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jefferson landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Jefferson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Valkoinen tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jefferson!

Thomas Jefferson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Zombie Nutrition - LOD logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
