Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andres Aguinaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rau Utu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Utu does no damage.
Aguinaldo shoots in for a takedown but Utu shows good takedown defense.

Aguinaldo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Utu counters with a thumping low kick.

It looks like Andres Aguinaldo has been cut.
Aguinaldo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Utu but Utu pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Utu attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Good standup being displayed there by Utu as he connects with a hook.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Utu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Andres Aguinaldo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aguinaldo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Aguinaldo throws a poor cross that misses
and Utu counters with a stiff right hand.

Aguinaldo throws a nice looking combination but Utu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Aguinaldo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Utu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Aguinaldo thinking.

Aguinaldo moves forwards but Utu connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Andres Aguinaldo's cut is getting worse.
Utu misses with a wild body shot.
Utu lets loose with a powerful body kick. Aguinaldo will feel that in the morning.
Aguinaldo is breathing heavily.
Utu connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Aguinaldo covering up! Utu comes in with a big uppercut and Aguinaldo goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rau Utu!
Rau Utu is the new super heavyweight champion!
After the fight, Rau Utu was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
