Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Betoli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sparry McSubberton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Betoli comes to the ring accompanied by Mario theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Betoli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparry McSubberton!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Betoli tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McSubberton defends well and Betoli ends up having to push McSubberton into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.

McSubberton wants the takedown. Betoli is fighting it off but McSubberton persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Betoli's guard against the ropes.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
McSubberton pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Betoli is keeping the position for now.
McSubberton is still trying to improve position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Betoli is trying to control the position but McSubberton postures up.
McSubberton stopping the sweep attempt from Betoli.
Betoli has McSubberton pulled in close to control his posture.
Betoli is trying to keep McSubberton in close.
McSubberton stays in close to Betoli's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mario Betoli.
Betoli fails to land the takedown.

McSubberton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Betoli's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mario Betoli wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Betoli shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Betoli. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Betoli shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Betoli showed some decent athleticism there.
Betoli is trying to control. McSubberton wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Betoli is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McSubberton is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mario Betoli just wasn't active enough.

McSubberton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Betoli tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Betoli can't do much from the bottom here.
Betoli is trying to improve his position.

Betoli stops McSubberton from passing to mount.
You can see the frustration on Betoli's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

McSubberton thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Betoli tries to bench press McSubberton off him but McSubberton keeps the position.
Betoli can't do much from the bottom here.
Betoli is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but McSubberton is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Betoli is working hard here to advance position.
McSubberton seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Betoli is holding on tight.

McSubberton is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Betoli is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Betoli flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. McSubberton anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Betoli and secures both hooks! This could be bad! McSubberton slips an arm under Betoli chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. McSubberton has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. McSubberton is squeezing on Betoli like an anaconda would it's prey. Betoli fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sparry McSubberton!
Sparry McSubberton decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
