Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Atsushi Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tat Moh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the ring accompanied by Smoke Serpent - Jiu Jitsu. Atsushi Gracie has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Atsushi Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tat Moh!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moh throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Moh is in Gracie's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Moh wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Moh tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.
Gracie seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Moh sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gracie's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Moh is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Gracie is trying to get back to full guard.
Moh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Gracie is pressing down on Moh's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Moh preventing the sweep.
Moh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Moh is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Moh manages to get himself to full guard.
Moh keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.
Moh seems keen to control Gracie's posture.
Moh can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Moh defends the submission attempt.

Moh is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Moh is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie trying to control from Moh's half guard. Moh has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Moh keeps moving.
Gracie won't allow Moh to sweep him here.

Moh is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Moh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Atsushi Gracie just wasn't active enough.

Gracie shoots in and bounces Moh off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Gracie won't allow Moh to sweep him here.
Gracie's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Moh is pulling down on Gracie's head. It's preventing any offense from Gracie, at least for the moment.
Moh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard.
Moh advances to half guard.

Moh is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gracie defends it well.

Moh seems to be working for a kimura but Gracie defends the submission attempt.
Gracie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Moh trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Moh working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Gracie working a defensive guard here.
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moh can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Moh stands and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Gracie tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Moh presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Gracie keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Moh moves to take his opponent's back.

Moh looking to break Gracie's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Gracie remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Moh will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Gracie tries to escape the position.

Moh is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Gracie has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Moh has got one arm under Gracie's chin. This could be trouble... Gracie trying to control the other hand but Moh gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Gracie has tapped out! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tat Moh!
Post fight, an emotional Tat Moh said 'It's not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential.'.
