Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hitmon Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miklo Velka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velka is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cypress Hill - Insane In The Membrane. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velka loads up on a big right hand but Lee slips the punch.
Lee misses the jab.
Decent striking displayed by Lee there.
Velka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Velka forces Lee back against the cage and clinches.

Lee lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Velka or not.

Lee turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Velka wants to stand up but Lee manages to regain full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Miklo Velka was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Velka checks a low kick from Lee.
Velka tries to clinch up but Lee circles away and keeps his distance.
Velka takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Lee fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Velka connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Velka tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lee is able to avoid easily.
Lee steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Velka.
Lee is looking to chop away at Velka's legs.
Lee lands with a right hand.
Lee throws a shot from downtown. Velka moves away and avoids it.
Velka dips to his left and cracks Lee with an uppercut!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Velka enables Lee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Velka manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Velka is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Lee dives into side control.
Velka manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Velka works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hitmon Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lee throws a strike but Velka rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Velka looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Lee wants to sweep but Velka has passed to side control!

Velka stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Velka checks the leg kick nicely there.
Lee fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Velka checks it well.
Lee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Lee moves out of range as Velka throws a body kick.

Lee blocks a low kick nicely.
Velka throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Lee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Velka.
Lee lands with a nice body punch.
Miklo Velka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Velka throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Velka throws a shot from downtown. Lee moves away and avoids it.

Velka bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lee's head backwards.

Lee throws a low kick, looking for Velka's leg but Velka calmly moves out of range.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Lee takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lee lands a leg kick that knocks Velka off balance momentarily.
Velka fails with an attempt to clinch.
Velka feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lee's calf.

Velka throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Velka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lee sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Velka attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Lee dips to his left and cracks Velka with an uppercut!
Lee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Velka moves away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Velka missing with a left hand there. Lee was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Velka walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lee checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Lee paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lee scores with a decent looking hook.

Lee shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lee was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Velka wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Lee.

That has opened up Miklo Velka's cut even more.
Velka is trying to escape the mount.
Lee throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Velka tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Velka really wants to buck Lee off and get back to his feet.
Velka is in a horrible position here. Lee smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Lee is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Velka can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Lee lands a couple of good shots and Velka has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Velka is rocked!

Miklo Velka's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Miklo Velka's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
