Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rendo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dallas Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dallas Riley will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rendo Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dallas Riley!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riley fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Riley is now in Gracie's guard.
Gracie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Riley wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gracie is trying to keep Riley in close.
Riley wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Riley with a nice head shot there.
Riley trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dallas Riley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Riley has a takedown stuffed.
Gracie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Riley closes the distance and pushes Gracie back into the cage.

Gracie breaks the clinch.
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Riley's waist but Riley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.

Riley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Riley working for a triangle but Gracie defends it easily.

Riley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Riley looking for a guillotine here but Gracie defends easily.
Gracie has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Riley is retaining full guard.

Riley is trying to keep Gracie in close.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gracie won't allow Riley to sweep him here.
Riley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard.
Gracie throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Gracie is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Riley is controlling him.

Riley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.
Riley wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

Riley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gracie, up you get!

Riley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riley is striking off his back. Gracie thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Riley works his way to full guard. Good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dallas Riley dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Riley throws a body kick that misses.

Riley feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Riley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gracie wants to sweep here but Riley controlling him for the moment.
Riley is stalling in the full guard.
Gracie is trying to keep Riley in close.
Riley works over Gracie with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Riley is aware though and is defending well.

Riley stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Gracie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Riley defends it nicely.
Rendo Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gracie thows a body shot but no joy.
Riley walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gracie checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Riley buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Riley darts in looking for a takedown but Gracie gets double underhooks and turns Riley into the cage.
Riley tries to land knees in the clinch but Gracie avoids the damage to the body.
Gracie gets underhooks to prevent Riley's takedown attempt.
Riley is trying to pull guard but Gracie has him pressed against the cage.
Rendo Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dallas Riley.

Riley gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Riley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Riley slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Riley trying to control the position but Gracie is working away.
Gracie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Riley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Gracie is not content to let Riley control the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Riley tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Gracie is trying to work for a sweep but Riley has mounted him!
Gracie is squirming around, avoiding Riley's attempts to control the action.
Gracie can't escape the position.
Gracie tries to lock up and control but Riley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Riley lands a big elbow.
Riley sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Gracie is wriggling around trying to escape.
Riley looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Riley wants to finish this one by submission but Gracie is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Riley.

Dallas Riley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Riley shoots in for a double leg but Gracie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gracie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gracie leaves Riley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Riley tries a head kick but it misses.
Riley thuds his shin into the meat of Gracie's side.
Riley's corner calls for a 1-2. Riley obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Riley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gracie wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Riley has him pressed against the cage.

Riley lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Gracie desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Gracie tries to get to full guard but Riley has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Riley stands up from half guard.
Riley tries a head kick but it misses.
Gracie misses with a shot to the body
and Riley counters with an outside leg kick.
Riley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Riley swinging wildly here.
Gracie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Riley has a takedown stuffed.
Rendo Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dallas Riley.

Gracie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Riley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Riley persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Riley with that takedown attempt.
Riley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gracie throws a big shot that misses.

Riley dives in and scores a takedown into Gracie's guard.
Gracie wants to stand but Riley is controlling the position.
Riley lands a couple of digs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Riley stands and steps away. Gracie gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Riley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Riley wants it to stay on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Riley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Riley wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Riley defends it well.
Riley is controlling Gracie's trapped leg to prevent Gracie from advancing to side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riley misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Riley flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Riley is looking to improve his position.
Gracie is thwarting Riley's attempts to control the position.
Riley wants to get back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rendo Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dallas Riley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Riley sees it coming and defends easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dallas Riley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Riley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
