Brown closes this distance looking for a takedown but Genus circles away.
Genus looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Brown takes a swing at Genus's ribcage but misses.
Will Genus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brown shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brown was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Genus can do anything to dispel that myth.

Genus trying his best to control but Brown has mounted him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Genus is bucking up trying to escape but Brown cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
