Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jones Zica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zica comes into the arena with Master of Puppets by Metallica blaring out of the sound system. Bruce Gracie has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Gracie!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Zica does no damage.
Zica has managed to clinch.
Gracie gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Zica regains guard.
Gracie stands up over Zica, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Gracie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zica is keeping the position for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zica tries to stand but Gracie is controlling from the bottom.
Gracie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Zica stacks Gracie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Zica!
Gracie is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Zica decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gracie to his feet.
Jones Zica is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gracie dives in and grabs Zica's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zica pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bruce Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nice takedown defense from Zica. No joy for Gracie on that attempt.
Gracie feints and as Zica raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Zica has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Zica is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Bruize Brothers that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Zica wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.

Gracie throws a strike but Zica rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jones Zica will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gracie jumps guard but Zica stands there with Gracie around his waist. Gracie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Zica's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Zica lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.

Gracie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gracie shoots in but Zica avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zica pinned against the cage. Zica gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Zica counters with a low kick, right behind Gracie 's knee.
Gracie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Zica scores with the left hand. Gracie knows he should have avoided that one.
Gracie on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zica. Zica obviously looking to wear him down.
Zica forces Gracie back against the cage and clinches.
Gracie drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Zica gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Zica breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Zica drops Gracie with a beautiful combination! Gracie stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Zica is looking for the KO!
Gracie is rocked!
Zica throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gracie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Zica finish him?

Zica fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gracie.
Gracie walks straight into a right hand from Zica - that's dropped him! Zica jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gracie from any more punishment! Gracie complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jones Zica!
Jones Zica seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
