Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kira Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuba Wojcik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuba Wojcik will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kuba Wojcik!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato fails to land the takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wojcik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wojcik doesn't manage to clinch there - Kato circles away.
Wojcik throws a sloppy head kick and Kato moves out of range easily.
Kato shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kato could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kato changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wojcik tries to avoid it but Kato manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wojcik to the ground. Wojcik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kira Kato. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kato drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Kato has hold of Wojcik's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wojcik seems comfortable defending it but Kato has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wojcik is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wojcik is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kato couldn't care less - he's delighted!

A very excited looking Kira Kato made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
