Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Danger!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Janeiro!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janeiro fails with a takedown attempt.
Danger dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Janeiro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Danger's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Janeiro wants to stand and escape but instead Danger has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Danger postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Danger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Janeiro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Danger has managed to get both his arms back between Janeiro's legs - danger averted.
Janeiro keeping moving, preventing Danger from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Janeiro is looking for a triangle but Danger pushes his legs off easily.
Danger works over Janeiro with some ground and pound from guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Janeiro is trying to control the position but Danger postures up.
Danger makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Danger landing some decent shots from guard.
Danger sitting in guard here, content to control.
Danger has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Janeiro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Janeiro is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Danger has managed to free his arm - good work.
Danger works his way to full guard. Good work.
Danger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Janeiro on the ground.
Janeiro stops Danger from standing up.
Danger keeping full guard, as Janeiro tries to pass.
Danger is looking to stand up but Janeiro isn't so interested in that idea.

Janeiro gets to his feet - Danger follows without any prompting.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Danger.
Janeiro doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Janeiro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Danger as he avoids it easily.
Danger swinging wildly here.
Janeiro slips under a jab from Danger.
Danger connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Janeiro misses with a takedown attempt
and Danger cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Carlos Danger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryo Janeiro.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Janeiro slips under a jab from Danger.
Janeiro moves out of range of the strikes.
The fighters circling - Danger throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Janeiro uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Danger.
Janeiro takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Danger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Janeiro.
Janeiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Danger tries to avoid it but Janeiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Danger to the ground. Danger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Janeiro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Danger pinned against the cage. Danger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Danger!
Janeiro tries for a takedown but Danger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Janeiro misses with a takedown
and Danger counters with a straight that turns Janeiro's legs to rubber! Danger pushes forward with more strikes and Janeiro goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carlos Danger!
