The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Venturia counters with a head kick that drops Dubrov - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!

Dubrov is rocked!

Pavel Dubrov's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Venturia stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dubrov to get to his feet.
Dubrov fails with the takedown.
Dubrov tries to close the distance and clinch but Venturia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dubrov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Venturia has time to react.
Venturia fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dubrov on the side of the head.
A left lands for Venturia.

Jeez, Pavel Dubrov's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Dubrov leaves his chin hanging out and Venturia seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Dubrov crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

After the fight, Jesse Venturia was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
