Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Americo Ferriera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandre Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Deus vai fazer acontecer. On his way into the cage it seems that Americo Ferriera has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Americo Ferriera seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Ferriera there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Ferriera closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Ferriera is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ferriera to get the leverage.
Silva won't allow Ferriera to pass to mount.

Ferriera jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Silva is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Silva and Ferriera has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferriera passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Silva!

Ferriera has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Ferriera swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Silva is now in Ferriera's guard. A big mistake from Ferriera there, giving up the dominant position!

Ferriera is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Silva keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ferriera's head.

Silva throws a strike but Ferriera rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ferriera is controlling him.

Ferriera is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Ferriera has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ferriera seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Ferriera is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Ferriera eventually gives up the hold.
