The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egomitis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hardy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hardy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Egomitis's waist but Egomitis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hardy off to one side.

Egomitis sends Hardy crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Egomitis is motioning to the referee to let Hardy up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hardy is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Egomitis rushes Hardy and presses him up against the cage.

Egomitis closes the distance and pushes Hardy back into the cage.
Egomitis gets through Hardy's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Hardy pushes off an throws an elbow but Egomitis leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Hardy has had enough of the clinch but Egomitis keeps him there for the moment.

Egomitis drops Hardy onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Hardy is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Egomitis presses Hardy against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
