PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Amazon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua has chosen AVANTASIA-Seven Angels as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lyoto Rua was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rua scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Rua feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Amazon moves to clinch but Rua breaks away

so Rua counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Rua lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Amazon is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rua is controlling him well.
Rua creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Amazon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Rua lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Amazon down.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Amazon moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rua cracks Amazon with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Amazon falls to his knees and Rua doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
