Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfonso Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Alfonso Patterson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Banks counters with a single leg into guard. Patterson didn't expect that.

Banks seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've been hearing good reports from Banks 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Banks uses his free foot to push down on Patterson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Patterson.

Patterson takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Banks 's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
