Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles Sera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miles Sera struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 207.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva lands a jab to the nose.
Sera slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A big right from Sera misses.
Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sera sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Silva misses with a head kick.
Sera thows a left - swing and a miss!
Silva throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Sera connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Charles Silva has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sera's corner calls for a 1-2. Sera obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Silva thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sera if he has to take too many more of those.

Sera drops Silva with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Silva looks back up at him and smiles so Sera waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Silva is rocked!

Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A jab from Silva misses.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
Silva avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sera swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sera misses with a looping right.
Sera avoids the head kick by Silva.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Sera moves out of range easily.
Sera has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sera there as he acknowledges the shot.

Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Sera lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Silva falls backwards - clearly groggy! Sera dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miles Sera!
An out of breath Miles Sera thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
