Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sean Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Brophy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, The One!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Brophy as One shoots in.
One throws a nice looking combination but Brophy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
One shoots for a takedown but Brophy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The One seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brophy lands with a kick to the temple. One shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Brophy has a takedown stuffed.
One moves in looking to clinch but Brophy pushes him off.
One has his takedown stuffed

and Brophy counters by moving into the clinch.
Sean Brophy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The One.
One wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
One can't break the clinch.
One managing to block the knees to the body from Brophy.
A right hook to the body lands for Brophy.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brophy throws a knee to the head but misses.
Brophy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Brophy drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

One has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Brophy clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
One gets his hands free as Brophy looks to control.
One is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
One thows a strike but Brophy uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Brophy as he ends up in One 's guard!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brophy wants to pass the guard but One is keeping the position.
Brophy won't allow One to sweep him here.
One trying to control the position.
Brophy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Brophy is fighting to break One's control of his arms but One is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
One looking to control.

Brophy passes One's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Brophy works his way into full mount!
Brophy controlling his opponent.
Brophy looking to control but One is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brophy controlling the pace for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
One tries to lock up and control but Brophy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Brophy wants to finish this one by submission but One is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Brophy.
Brophy is breathing heavily.
One regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Brophy dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


One darts in trying to clinch

and Brophy counters with a nice double leg into side control. One won't be happy with that.
One sneaks back into half guard.
One wants to improve his position but Brophy is controlling well.

Brophy is trying to work for a kimura but One is defending well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if One can do anything to dispel that myth.
One is staying active underneath Brophy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
One tries to get to full guard but Brophy has control of the leg.
Brophy is looking to take a break and control but One is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
One wants to get back to full guard.
Brophy tries to stand but his hand is stuck under One.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brophy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

One closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
One really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brophy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

One seems to be working for a kimura but Brophy defends the submission attempt.
Brophy is looking to control One's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brophy avoid being mounted?
Brophy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brophy.
Brophy controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Brophy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think One should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Brophy has tightened it up now! One should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
