The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dervish scores with a sloppy right hand. Drysdale should have avoided that one.

It looks like Robert Drysdale has been cut.

Drysdale feints and as Dervish raises his hands in defense, Drysdale changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Drysdale is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Dervish is trying to keep Drysdale in close.

Drysdale drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Drysdale jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drysdale is pushing down on Dervish's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dervish is fighting to maintain full guard but Drysdale has managed to sneak the leg through.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Drysdale is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dervish is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Robert Drysdale decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
