Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rashad Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yann Phok!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Phok is trying to get back to full guard.
Henderson is looking for a kimura here.
Phok tries to get to full guard but Henderson has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Phok keeps trying to improve his position.
Henderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Henderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Henderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Henderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Henderson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Henderson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Phok is keeping the position for now.
Phok escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Henderson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Phok wants to hit a switch here but Henderson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Phok there!
Phok has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Phok is looking for a sweep. Henderson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Phok tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Henderson has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Henderson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Phok is surviving well by controlling Henderson's body position as best he can.
Phok tries to reverse the position but Henderson maintains control.
Phok sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Henderson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Henderson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Phok has managed to free his arm - good work.
Henderson is breathing heavily.

Phok is looking to control Henderson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Phok avoid being mounted?

The fighters are battling for position here. Phok manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Phok is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Henderson defends well.
Henderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Phok has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Henderson has managed to get both his arms back between Phok's legs - danger averted.

Phok working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Henderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Henderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Henderson has gone for a leg lock! Phok slips out almost immediately though and dives into Henderson's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Henderson has his foot on Phok's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Phok works his way back into a safe position though.

Phok bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Henderson's guard.

Phok is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Henderson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Henderson shrugs it off.
Phok is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Henderson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Phok is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Henderson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Phok working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Henderson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Phok off and cradles Henderson's limp body as Phok celebrates with his corner.
