Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ram Rinder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Grand Prix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ram Rinder could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Georges Grand Prix's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ram Rinder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Grand Prix!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grand Prix dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rinder misses the shot to the body.

Rinder closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rinder lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Grand Prix looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Rinder working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Grand Prix can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rinder controls the pace.
Grand Prix has control of Rinder's left arm, preventing Rinder from doing any damage.
Rinder sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grand Prix's guard.
Rinder uses his free foot to push down on Grand Prix's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Grand Prix.
Rinder lands with some strikes.

Rinder tries to control but Grand Prix wriggling away.

Grand Prix is working to get back to half guard.
Grand Prix wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Rinder.
Grand Prix tries to hold on but Rinder pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rinder trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Grand Prix is bucking up trying to escape but Rinder cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Rinder looking for a guillotine from mount but Grand Prix is having none of it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rinder lands a nice short elbow.
Rinder perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Grand Prix wants to improve his position but Rinder is controlling well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rinder is trying to control. Grand Prix wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Ram Rinder is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Grand Prix throws a nice looking combination but Rinder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Grand Prix shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rinder is trying to defend but Grand Prix finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Grand Prix takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Rinder on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rinder tries to get out of the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Grand Prix walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rinder checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Rinder manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Grand Prix on his heels. He'll look to pass Grand Prix's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rinder is fighting to break Grand Prix's control of his arms but Grand Prix is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Grand Prix tries to clinch up but Rinder circles away and keeps his distance.
Rinder is looking to clinch.
Grand Prix keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Georges Grand Prix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rinder will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Rinder takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rinder avoids a punch combination nicely.
Grand Prix connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rinder tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Grand Prix swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ram Rinder. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Grand Prix throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Grand Prix shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rinder's guard.

Georges Grand Prix showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Rinder's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Grand Prix will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rinder shoots in looking for a takedown. Grand Prix tries to sprawl out of it but Rinder keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grand Prix manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Grand Prix throws a shot from downtown. Rinder moves away and avoids it.
Rinder tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grand Prix paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Grand Prix keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rinder on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rinder tried to score with a low kick but Grand Prix checks it.
Rinder moves out of range as Grand Prix strikes.
Grand Prix throws a hook but Rinder blocks it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Grand Prix.
Rinder looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rinder decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Rinder stalling away here and it's allowed Grand Prix to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Grand Prix feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
