The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mom connects with a looping right hand.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Despite being in the dominant position, Nalle Karhunen just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mom has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Karhunen is proving hard to escape from.

Karhunen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A combination from Mom does no damage.
Mom lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A jab-cross combination lands for Mom and sends Karhunen crashing to the mat! Mom follows him down to the mat - Karhunen regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Karhunen is trying to maintain the position but Mom is very close to passing his half guard.
Mom will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mom tries to stand and escape but Karhunen is controlling the position.

Karhunen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Karhunen is refusing to be controlled, as Mom sits in half guard.

Mom really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mom connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
