The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Franklin drives through and clinches with Rogers against the cage.
Franklin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rogers gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Rogers manages to break the clinch.
Rogers moves out of range of the strikes.

Rogers shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Franklin is not content to let Rogers control the position.

Franklin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rogers pulls his head out easily.
Rogers is looking to take a break and control but Franklin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Franklin is trying is best to control the position here.

Rogers stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Franklin to get to his feet.
Rogers lands with an uppercut that bounces Franklin off the cage and back into range.

It looks like Bob Franklin has been cut.

and Franklin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rogers's guard.
Rogers seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Steve Rogers.
Rogers lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Franklin shoots and misses
and Rogers counters with a one-two to the body.

Franklin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rogers controls the pace.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Steve Rogers.
Rogers catches Franklin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Franklin finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rogers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Franklin looks winded!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rogers lands a big uppercut and Franklin crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Franklin looks OK. Rogers waves Franklin back to his feet!

Franklin is rocked!
Rogers circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Franklin to the canvas! Franklin doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Rogers keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
