Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Mcneil!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant tries to bum rush Mcneil with a series of wild strikes but Mcneil uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mcneil looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Grant is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mcneil.
Mcneil throws a combination. Grant tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Mcneil looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grant is fending him off so far but Mcneil persists. Nope, Grant circles away and we're back to standing.

Grant swings wildly with an uppercut but Mcneil uses good head movement to avoid it.

Mcneil breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Grant will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Mcneil counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mcneil has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Grant escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcneil gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mcneil stands up over Grant, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Grant wants to sweep here but Mcneil controlling him for the moment.

Mcneil is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Mcneil is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Grant has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcneil can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jack Mcneil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Grant throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mcneil sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Grant lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcneil circles away quickly and effectively.
Grant pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Mcneil holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Grant gets through Mcneil's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Mcneil breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Grant lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Grant.

Grant is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Mcneil's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Grant throws a push kick but Mcneil slaps the foot to one side.
Grant stalks Mcneil and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mcneil's face. Mcneil staggers backwards, shaken.
Mcneil feints a jab promting Grant to slip. Mcneil then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Grant slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jason Grant.
Well Mcneil has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
