The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bongo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? silva is fending him off so far but Bongo persists. Nope, silva circles away and we're back to standing.

Bongo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bongo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bongo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Van der lie silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
silva keeping moving, preventing Bongo from controlling successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bongo gets to his feet - silva follows without any prompting.
