The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Babin lands a jab to Franco's midsection.
Babin lands with a right hand.
Babin avoids the body shot from Franco.
Babin scores with a nice strike.
Babin lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Babin throws a solid leg kick but Franco takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Babin.
Babin drops Franco with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Franco looks back up at him and smiles so Babin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Franco is rocked!
Babin throws a shot to the body.
Oh Franco is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Babin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Babin feints and then cracks Franco's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Franco down.
Franco seems to have got his legs back now.
Babin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Babin thows a leg kick but Franco checks it
and Babin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Babin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Babin lands a big uppercut and Franco crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Franco looks OK. Babin waves Franco back to his feet!
We've been informed that Babin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Babin knocks out Franco with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Babin before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Babin picks up the big W with a huge KO!
