Venturia comes to the cage accompanied by Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise. Rook has chosen Mr Krinkle as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rook shoots in looking for a takedown but Venturia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rook's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Rook throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Venturia was covering up waiting for the punch and Rook finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Venturia manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Venturia. No joy for Rook on that attempt.

It looks like Yuri Rook has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Venturia lands a jab to the nose.

and Rook counters with a takedown into side control.

Rook tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rook has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rook is working to tighten his grip on Venturia's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Venturia has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rook is really squeezing tight and eventually Venturia passes out! Rook breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
