Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Glen Foreman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sami Katalinen!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katalinen fails to land the takedown.
Sami Katalinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Katalinen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Foreman tries to bench press Katalinen off him but Katalinen keeps the position.
Foreman wants to control but Katalinen postures up.
Foreman manages to work his way to half guard, despite Katalinen's best efforts.

Foreman looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Foreman tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Katalinen scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Foreman tries to roll over but Katalinen keeps him under control.
Foreman is trying to control but can't.

Katalinen is looking for a kimura but Foreman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Katalinen to get the leverage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Foreman looking for submissions off his back.
Katalinen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Katalinen working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Katalinen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Katalinen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Katalinen is looking for a kimura but Foreman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Katalinen to get the leverage.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Katalinen lands a nice short elbow.
Foreman is breathing heavily.
Katalinen passes the guard and advances to mount!
Katalinen lands a nice shot to the head.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Katalinen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Foreman tries to lock up and control but Katalinen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Foreman tries to reverse the position but Katalinen maintains control.
Katalinen lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Katalinen scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Foreman is in a horrible position here. Katalinen smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Katalinen cracks Foreman with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Katalinen is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Foreman can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Foreman is rocked!
Katalinen is landing with some decent strikes but Foreman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Oh Foreman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Katalinen lands a big shot to the head and Foreman winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
