The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asdf throws a combination. Barnes tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like John Barnes has been cut.
Asdf fails to land with a series of punches.
Both fighters circling a little - Asdf finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Asdf throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Barnes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

SDf Asdf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That kick from Barnes tenderised Asdf's leg. Asdf is trying to keep his angry face on.

Barnes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Asdf.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Barnes will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Asdf is trying to break the clinch but Barnes has him pressed against the cage.
Asdf wants to break free but Barnes has control.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Barnes.
Barnes unloads a knee to the mid-section. Asdf lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Barnes creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A nice right hand lands inside from Barnes.
Barnes lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Asdf backwards.

Asdf tries to break free but Barnes pushes him back against the cage.

Barnes gets through Asdf's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Barnes throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Asdf blocks it with crossed arms.
Asdf wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Barnes has him pressed against the cage.
Barnes throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Asdfs head.
A nice left hand lands by Barnes.
Barnes lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Asdf is rocked!

Barnes has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Asdf - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Barnes, and another! Asdf is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
