PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Schindler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goran Spaten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spaten is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Knockin Boots by Candyman. Goran Spaten acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Kurt Schindler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Goran Spaten!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spaten pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick misses from Spaten.

Schindler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Spaten to the mat! Spaten manages to get full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Spaten is looking to stand back up but Schindler counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Spaten.
Spaten told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Schindler seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Spaten for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kurt Schindler.
