The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dominguez wants to clinch up but Penn keeps it at a distance.
Dominguez has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Penn.

Dominguez is looking to clinch but Penn is avoiding it.

Dominguez shoots for a double leg takedown but Penn sprawls well. He's pushed Dominguez 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Penn cracks Dominguez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Penn scores with a hook to the body. Dominguez takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Dominguez throws a shot from downtown. Penn moves away and avoids it.
Dominguez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Penn defends well and Dominguez ends up having to push Penn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Dominguez misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Penn.
Dominguez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Penn fights it off and pushes away nicely.

A determined Bj Penn didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
