Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chaim Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heori Mugetsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chaim Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Heori Mugetsu!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson swinging wildly here.
Mugetsu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Mugetsu drives through with a takedown into Bronson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bronson is looking to stand up but Mugetsu isn't so interested in that idea.

Mugetsu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mugetsu advances to half guard.
Bronson is staying active underneath Mugetsu, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mugetsu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bronson pushes Mugetsu off looking to stand but Mugetsu dives back in and keeps control.

Mugetsu trying to control the action but Bronson is working from the bottom.
Mugetsu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Heori Mugetsu has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Bronson rushes Mugetsu and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bronson is pressed up against the cage. Mugetsu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bronson down to the mat. Bronson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bronson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bronson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mugetsu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bronson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Bronson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mugetsu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bronson keeps the fight on the outside.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mugetsu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bronson sprawls well initially but Mugetsu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mugetsu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mugetsu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Mugetsu is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mugetsu is controlling the pace.
Mugetsu is trying to control the action in half guard but Bronson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bronson looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mugetsu is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Heori Mugetsu was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bronson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mugetsu avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bronson.

Bronson seems to be working for a kimura but Mugetsu defends the submission attempt.
Bronson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mugetsu to regain full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mugetsu keeping moving, preventing Bronson from controlling successfully.
Bronson trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Mugetsu manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heori Mugetsu dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Bronson moves into range and clinches up with Mugetsu.
Bronson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mugetsu stalling in the clinch but Bronson improves position.
Mugetsu is trying to drag Bronson to the mat but Bronson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bronson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bronson closes the distance and clinches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Mugetsu changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bronson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mugetsu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bronson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mugetsu somewhat.
Chaim Bronson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heori Mugetsu.
Bronson misses with the body kick
and Mugetsu counters with a left to the body.
Mugetsu keeps the fight on the outside.
Mugetsu misses with a low kick.
Bronson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bronson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mugetsu circles away quickly and effectively.
Mugetsu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bronson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bronson is looking to clinch.
Mugetsu avoids the head kick by Bronson.
Bronson tries to close the distance and clinch but Mugetsu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bronson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mugetsu back to the cage. Bronson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mugetsu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bronson tries to avoid it but Mugetsu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bronson to the ground. Bronson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mugetsu is breathing heavily.

Bronson closes the distance and clinches up with Mugetsu, looking for a takedown. Bronson pushes Mugetsu against the cage but Mugetsu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mugetsu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bronson defends well and Mugetsu ends up having to push Bronson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bronson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice body kick there by Bronson.
Bronson throws a head kick but Mugetsu moves out of range.
Bronson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mugetsu avoids it really well and circles away.
Mugetsu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bronson tries to avoid it but Mugetsu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bronson to the ground. Bronson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mugetsu blocks a head kick by Bronson.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bronson.
Bronson connects with a leg kick. Mugetsu looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bronson fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bronson tries to pull guard but Mugetsu won't allow it.

Bronson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mugetsu doesn't manage to clinch there - Bronson circles away.
Bronson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Bronson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mugetsu shoots in looking for a takedown. Bronson tries to sprawl out of it but Mugetsu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bronson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mugetsu avoids the head kick by Bronson.
Bronson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bronson tries for a takedown but Mugetsu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bronson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mugetsu.
Bronson lands with a nice combination. Mugetsu backs away looking to recover.

Bronson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bronson shoots in looking for a takedown. Mugetsu tries to sprawl out of it but Bronson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mugetsu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bronson throws the kick towards the body but Mugetsu avoids it.
Mugetsu throws a head kick but Bronson moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bronson breaks from the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Good leg kick by Bronson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bronson throws a head kick but Mugetsu moves out of range.
Bronson throws a sloppy head kick and Mugetsu moves out of range easily.
Mugetsu tries to bum rush Bronson with a series of wild strikes but Bronson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bronson tries to close the distance and clinch but Mugetsu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Bronson. Those never looked like landing.
Bronson is looking to clinch but Mugetsu is avoiding it.

Mugetsu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bronson is staying active underneath Mugetsu, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bronson is trying to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Mugetsu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bronson is looking to get back to is feet but Mugetsu passes into side control.
Mugetsu trying to control the position but Bronson is working away.
Bronson prevents Mugetsu from improving position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bronson is not content to let Mugetsu control the position.
Bronson is looking for a sweep.
Bronson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mugetsu is controlling him well.
Mugetsu has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bronson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Mugetsu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Bronson tries to reverse the position but Mugetsu maintains control.
Mugetsu wants to control the pace but Bronson is squirming around nicely.
Mugetsu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bronson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Mugetsu manages to capitalize on a mistake by Bronson to take his back!
Bronson prevents Mugetsu from getting a body triangle.
Bronson trying to get back to his feet but Mugetsu is in full control for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Heori Mugetsu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mugetsu has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
